Getting caught chewing in Singapore can be subject to a fine ranging from 500$ to 2000$. It is also totally forbidden to import or sell chewing gums in Singapore.

In german law, it’s not allowed that your car runs out of gas while driving on a highway for safety reasons. Parking your car besides the road and walking around there is a threat to your life and to others’ life, which makes sense.

Sri Lanka bans tattoos of Buddha on the body. Buddha is considered a prophet more close to god, and getting his image on your skin can be seen offensive to the people’s religion.

Japanese government has only in 2015 lifted the ban off dancing after midnight on one condition. The nightclubs should be highly illuminated and the lights should be controlled, in order to avoid drug use or sexual harassment.

In Rosario, the hometown of the football star Lionel Messi in Argentina, you are not allowed to give your child the first name ”Messi” because it’s listed as a family name and not a person’s. Add to this the amount of ”Messis” that will be running around the city ! 🙂

17- Suicide Is Illegal In Jordan

Yes this might sound like a bad joke, but it’s not. Due to socioeconomic struggle in the country, a group of people threatened to commit a mass suicide in public. Right after this, the jordanian state declared a new law stating that anyone who commits suicide in public and survives, will be sent to prison for six months.

18- No Yellow Clothes In Malaysia

In 2016 the malaysian government banned yellow clothes. After a big revolution against the ruling regime where the protesters were all dressed in yellow, the color became only associated with this issue in the eyes of the governors and it would lead to arrest people wearing yellow.
